Product review
Romano’s Macaroni Grill has boxed, you-add-the-meat dinners that you can buy at the grocery store – if you haven’t noticed. I’ve tried the Chicken Marsala and it is ridiculously good. I LOVE it, and I’m a somewhat picky eater.
I’m also a lazy, means-to-an-end cook, and this requires more steps than I’m usually used to, but boy, it’s worth it. Yum!

Two Thumbs Up: Chick-Fil-a Chargrilled & Fruit Salad
I had the Chick-Fil-a Chargrilled & Fruit Salad yesterday. It comes with a packet of granola, a packet of sunflower seeds, and has its own Reduced-Fat Berry Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. It was heavenly.
Cute baby toy of the day
Jay and I were window-shopping today and we happened to walk down the baby aisle. I looked at all the adorable things my children have long-since outgrown with a heavy sigh. But I did see something really adorable that I had to write about … the Fisher Price Deluxe Galloping Fun Jumperoo. It whinnies, among other things. Too cute. What will they think of next? Diet Cherry Chocolate Dr Pepper
I really want to like this drink, especially since I’ve sworn off regular Dr Pepper (my first love) forever because I was addicted and it was way too much sugar.
So, I bought a 12 pack of the Diet Cherry Chocolate DP cans tonight. Why do they make drinks like that only in cans? They taste so much better in bottles. Anyway, I tried drinking it out of the can. Blech. Okay, now I’m trying it in a glass, on the rocks. With a straw. Better.
It actually tastes like a cherry/chocolate Tootsie Pop. Yeah, that’s exactly what it tastes like. I’m not getting too much of the Dr Pepper taste. It’s not too bad. I don’t think I’d want this with a meal, but it would be a nice after-dinner “dessert” for dieters who want something good but guilt-free.
As far as new diet drinks go, this one’s pretty darn good.
I heart Old Navy
I love Old Navy‘s fall clothing line. Most of the items are made for women with hips! Woo hoo!
Mmmmm … peaches!
I discovered Sonic’s peach/yogurt smoothie today. It’s wonderful. The kids liked it, too.
Ringing Endorsement
I am a chronic allergy/cold/sinus infection sufferer. I’m pretty much always fighting something off, which means my nose is almost always stuffy. I’ve tried many drugs over the years but I’m limited on what I can take now, thanks to my high BP.
Last night I got almost no sleep because every time I lay down, one side of my nose stopped up. When I rolled over, the other side would stop up (what causes that to happen, anyway? It’s SO annoying!)
So, I finally got the notion to use Breathe-Right strips tonight, and wow, they really work. I look ridiculous, and it feels funny on my nose in the same way that glasses do, but I’ll take that over all the sniffling and snorting.
Nifty product of the day

I recently got this cup for both of my kids (well, Mikaela’s is slightly more girly-looking). It’s the Playtex Coolster Tumbler. It’s like a kiddie version of an adult coffee tumbler. So, now your kids can walk around all day looking like they’re sipping on lattes. No, seriously – this cup is great. The package says 4 and up, but my 17-month-old and 2-year-old are doing just fine with it. And it’s a heck of a lot more spill proof than the last product we bought – Munchkin’s spill-proof, leak-proof insulated straw cups. The Munchkin cups were neither spill proof nor leak proof, but in their defense, the customer service department is sending new lids and straws to replace the ones I have. If that works, I’ll update this post and let you know.
